In this year's ranking by Rzeczpospolita Rödl & Partner has scored high again: no. 7 in the "Ranking of the best audit firms" (4 notches up against last year) and no. 9 in the category of "Audit firms by audit revenues".

The high 7th place of Rödl & Partner proves the trust our clients have vested in us. Magdalena Ludwiczak, Partner in Rödl & Partner Poznan, explains how new technologies have changed the audit industry and the perception of the auditor's role: "A statutory auditor is above all a consultant who knows how to combine and merge law, taxes and on-going business processes across an organisation. He or she takes care of work standards, knows most common mistakes in enterprises and perfectly identifies risks related to functioning in a given industry. Modern audit no longer focuses on accounting but goes deeper into the structure and processes in organisations. In the fast-changing IT environment of our clients, we auditors have to extend our audit activities and pay increasingly more attention to clients' IT infrastructure and how it is used, their expenditures on new technologies, archiving methods and, above all, the quality of security measures". Joanna Biguszewska, Associate Partner in Rödl & Partner Gliwice, adds: "I need to stress that our work is teamwork, and teams most often consist of people with different professional background".

Rzeczpospolita's ranking is developed on the basis of questionnaires and takes into account seven criteria, the most significant of which are:

- revenues from financial audits, used for calculation of the supervision fee in 2017 – 30% weight

- number of audits conducted in 2017 – 20% weight

- number of auditors licenced in Poland as disclosed in the report to the Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors – 20% weight

The award ceremony was held in the Warsaw Stock Exchange building.
