Rödl & Partner has ranked high on Rzeczpospolita's list of the largest tax advisory firms – in terms of the number of tax advisers it has ranked 6th and in terms of revenue – 8th. Overall, Rödl & Partner is on the 6th place in the general ranking of tax advisory firms.

Furthermore, Mr Marcin Jamroży, tax adviser, attorney at law and partner at Rödl & Partner, has been distinguished with the title of a recommended international tax law expert and is the only person from among last year's winners to receive this title for the second time in a row.

In the age of globalisation, movement of capital and workers, the rules of taxation of cross-border transactions are becoming increasingly important. Comprehensive, often complicated tax and legal regulations, which result from overlapping national and international legislation, as well as international agreements, are a big challenge for enterprises operating across borders. International groups can try to minimise tax burdens and at the same time use the state aid offered by many countries. In the last few years, countries have taken various measures to "seal" their tax systems as they claim that "aggressive" tax optimisation poses a great risk to tax revenue, tax autonomy and faith in the integrity of tax systems of all countries, which may negatively affect investments and competitiveness, and in the long run the growth and employment level worldwide. Therefore, the OECD has developed an action plan to prevent tax base erosion and profit shifting, which is known as the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) package. First of all, it must be emphasised that an agreement has been reached when it comes to minimum tax standards to be observed and monitored by countries. Enterprises operating across borders must therefore prepare themselves for a new and tighten up tax environment, and revise their current capital structure, if necessary, says Marcin Jamroży summing up the most important current challenges related to international tax planning.

Rödl & Partner has also yet again ranked among top ten audit firms and top ten law firms in the rankings published by Rzeczpospolita. In terms of revenue, Rödl & Partner has gone up a notch and taken the 9th place.

Rödl & Partner is a German firm operating in Poland for almost 25 years. It specialises in audit services, BPO, legal and tax advice services, as well as business consulting.
