We are pleased to announce that today Sönke Lund and Eric Jordi have joined our firm to lead the Intellectual Property, Competition and Information Technologies department. 

Likewise, their arrival means an important reinforcement of the presence of the firm in the international market and particularly in the German market, following with the firm’s international vocation during the last decade.
 

Sönke Lund joins Grupo Gispert after leading as partner the Intellectual Property, competition and international commerce and information technologies law department of one of the leading law firms in the German-Spanish market. The new partner has been awarded during the last 4 years as world leading lawyer in Intellectual Property Law in Spain and Germany for the directory Chambers and Partners and in franchise law by the directory Who is who. He is Rechtsanwalt (German lawyer), graduated in Hamburg and member of the Hamburg’s Bar Association and member of the Barcelona’s Bar Association. Among others, he is executive member of the Agricultural Law Commission of the International Bar Association (IBA), and he is a member of the commission of specialists in data protection law of the beknown German Association for the Protection of Intellectual and Industrial Rights (GRUR) 

On the other hand, Eric Jordi, who is also joining the firm as partner, lands at Grupo Gispert with 15 years of experience in the same firm as Sönke. Eric Jordi is specialized in Intellectual and Industrial Property, Competition Law and Unfair Competition Law. He is member of MARQUES (Association of European Trade Mark Owners) and of DENAE (Spanish Association of Entertainment Law), as well as member of the Intellectual Property Law department of the Barcelona’s Bar Association.

With those new members, our firm, founded in 1940 and with more tan 75 years of history, seeks to reinforce an area of the law that is flourishing and consolidate its international vocation, in accordance with Juan Ignacio de Gispert’s words, partner director of the firm: “the new additions to our team respond to the increase of the needs of our clients in this areas, both at a national and at an international level.
