ROCA anima a todos a participar en un concurso express: Diseña un objeto o solución para el cuarto de baño, que sea una respuesta a la situación actual de la pandemia. Es un concurso dirigido a los diseñadores y arquitectos mayores de 18 años. Bolsa de premios es de 5.000 EUR. Inscripciones hasta el 23 de junio.  

jumpthegap® is a biennial International Design Contest promoted by Roca since 2004 with the collaboration of BcD Barcelona Design Center and aimed at creative people who think towards the future, whilst designing today.

The 8 previous editions of the contest have looked for new innovations and sustainable concepts for the bathroom space of the future, with the idea that the viability of the project should not limit the creativity of the proposals. Conceptual, futuristic and innovative designs of bathroom solutions: new products, new spaces and / or new uses and functions; the anticipation of the new desires and needs of users, or the transformation of dreams and wishes into reality.

But today, our reality has changed. The future we imagined, perhaps did not foresee a global pandemic, and new individual and collective needs for access to sanitation, hygiene, well-being or health, have had to change too. 

The gap now is real, its name is COVID-19 and it’s time to think about how we jump it.
