The reputable prize was handed by the President and founder of Polish Academy of Gastronomy – Mr Maciej Dobrzyniecki and Minister of Culture and National Heritage – Mr Bogdan Zdrojewski. Paweł has joined to the circle of the best Polish chefs – to Karol Okrasa and Wojciech Modest Amaro – previous winner of this award.

Prix du Chef de l’Avenir is handed over by International Academy of Gastronomy since 1996. All chefs around the globe have chance to be nominated by its national Academy of Gastronomy and if they are approved by International one, they can be honoured with this distinguished award. The aim and mission of Academy is to indicate and appreciate chefs who show masterly level of culinary creations and promote national cuisine.

After receiving the prize, Paweł said: „It is my great honour to get such a prestigious award! For 10 years, together with my team, we focus on the highest quality, creativity and originality.  I am very happy, we are successful. Receiving this kind of award shows we can be an example for the others.”

Paweł has been creating and giving shape to La Rotisserie restaurant from the beginning – since 2004. He has started his culinary adventure when he decided to go to Italy after graduation from gastronomy school. For two years, he has been gaining experience in a family owned and Michelin ranked restaurant. After returning to Poland, he began in the newly opened Bristol Hotel and, after ten years, moved to the Polish Business Roundtable Club in the Sobański Palace, finally bringing his talents to the boutique Mamaison Hotel Le Regina.

Polish Academy of Gastronomy was founded in 2006. The main objective is to promote not only good nutrition but in the first place to promote our national cuisine, as the protection of regional culinary art. It is becoming increasingly important, especially nowadays, with globalization and unification.
